Yeah. Seeing "Fantastic Mr. Fox" put this song in my head.

Finally got to see "Fantastic Mr. Fox" today.  I really, really enjoyed it.  It was fantastic.

I think the :| face is the best way to describe the new year so far. At least I haven't lost anything yet. xD; However, stupid creepy drunk guys at Old C's can make life so much weirder.

And I want my fast internet back, damn it. I'm tired of having to check LJ and my mail on my parent's PC with dial-up.

So I talked things over with my sister's boyfriend Payne who has this somewhat start up computer repair/upgrade business going on. It's a little more than that honestly.. it's more of a geek for hire kind of deal. I'm gonna be working on his website as well as doing the main job. I'm not extremely clear on the pay yet... it's either $12.50 hourly or $20 hourly because I'm gonna be working on the website (I'm sure the website work will be $20 an hour, but I'm not sure if that carries over to my main job). There's some other programming projects I'll be working on as well. We'll see how it goes, but since I'm ready for a change now, I'm gonna be turning in my 2 weeks notice on Monday when my supervisor is in (unless he's magically here today, in which case I'll tell him today).

It'll probably be a little rocky in the beginning until we get it going, but I've got my money my grandpa gave me to tide me over for at least the next 3-4 months (that's if I didn't make anything for some reason), so if for some reason it doesn't work out, I can always jump ship and go back to ACS or get another job.

So long story short, I've got a new job, it's scary as all hell, but with the alternative being the hellhole at ACS, I'm MORE than willing to jump ship. I'm so willing, I'd call into to work and quit right now if it wasn't for the fact that I respected my supervisor and team (and also I need to have a place to come back to if this doesn't work out... even though I'll probably go back to home depot first).

Locke and I had a pleasant Christmas.  I may post about it on Monday or so, when the deluge of "OMG CHRISTMAS" posts subsides.

Oh, and IMHO, if you are going to post your present haul list, use an LJ-Cut....please. 

Chocolate, no question. xD While I can't live without my mobile phone, I'd definitely be okay if I didn't have chocolate again for the rest of my life.

Still in the process of moving. I'm pretty far along in it, though. The only things left in my room are the pieces of furniture I'm going to donate or try and sell. On Sunday, my dad and I moved pretty much everything else in my room, and some of the stuff in the living room, to my brand new storage unit. Of course, I wanted to be completely moved out by now, but... hey. At least I'm farther along than I had expected.

In other news, I'm sick again. Wtfuck. I started feeling bad on Sunday, and I don't think moving furniture all day helped any. I left work early yesterday to try and rest for a bit; I'm so glad that I have an awesome and understanding boss. <3

I also went to see The Princess and the Frog with brakish Tuesday night. It was just as cute the second time! I already want to see it again. Maybe I will, after I finish getting everything moved. :|

When I went to go pick up brakish for the movie, her brother had his gift for me. I wasn't expecting anything from him, so it was quite the surprise! According to her, he was all nervous and stuff about me coming over and worried about his appearance. xD Little things like that make me believe that I still could have a chance with him, if he ever becomes single again. Of course, I'm probably just dreaming, but... it's nice to know that I can still have a romantic interest in someone, especially after all of these years.

Since I probably won't update again until after Christmas, happy holidays to those who celebrate it! It started snowing in Colorado last night and didn't let up until about five or six hours ago, so we're going to enjoy a white Christmas this year.
